Just and Sinner Publications is run by Jordan and Lisa Cooper, a husband and wife team who currently reside in Watseka, Illinois. They met while at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA. They have two sons: Jacen and Benjamin.
Their publishing efforts were born one night at the dinner table when lamenting the fact that there are very limited affordable resources for people looking into Lutheranism. With Jordan’s knowledge about theology, and Lisa’s copyediting experience, delving into publication seemed natural.
Jordan is the pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, and, in his spare time, blogs for patheos at justandsinner.com, and hosts the Just and Sinner podcast. He has published two books with Wipf and Stock, both of which deal with comparative theology (The Righteousness of One: An Evaluation of Early Patristic Soteriology in Light of the New Perspective on Paul, and Christification: A Lutheran Approach to Theosis). He has a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Geneva College, an MTS from the American Lutheran Theological Seminary, and an M.Th from the Wittenburg Institute.
Lisa is a graduate of Geneva College with a B.A. in Literature. She is currently working toward a Masters in Theology from the American Lutheran Theological Seminary. While primarily a stay-at-home-mom, Lisa is also the content editor of the AALC synodical publication The Evangel.
